Lately, there has been more talk about microplastic pollution in aquatic resources, and not just in rivers or seas, but also in the drinking water we consume. To open the debate on water, I would start with the invisible and tasteless contamination caused by microplastics, which, due to their size (5 microns), are capable of crossing the intestinal barrier. Are we aware of this problem? Do we have data from other cities that indicate the extent of the problem? Could we take small steps to minimise its effects on the human body? I’ll leave it there…
