The event was attended by numerous representatives of organizations that are implementing initiatives funded by the European Union to work on five key pillars:
water, noise, waste, air, nature and biodiversity.

The Federation that includes the 45 municipalities of the Region of Murcia, has been leading a new project of the LIFE program since September, called GreenMe5, in which the Federation itself participates.
Municipalities, the city councils of Murcia, Cieza, Arezzo, Vilnius and Helsingborg, and the consulting firm EuroVértice.

The European projects department presented the key aspects of this project to the signatories of the Green City Accord, with these being the pilot actions in the five participating cities.

Among the actions to be carried out, the partners commit to improving their cities by implementing actions to better manage natural resources and waste, promote a circular economy, increase green spaces, reduce noise by reducing traffic, and build a dike to reduce the risk of flooding while protecting agricultural areas.
